Goodstart Scheme - Entry Level Roles in Media Planning & Buying
The role
We're Goodstuff: a media planning and buying agency — and the way we think is what sets us apart. We prioritise strategy, invention and creativity, and of course, excellence in client service delivery. None of these are processes here: they’re our superpower.
We're opening our doors to the next generation of people who'll help shape our agency and are looking to find our future Goodstuffers to join us as Executives as part of our entry-level Goodstarter scheme — and if that title sounds corporate, don't let it fool you. This is where careers get built.
Depending on your team and department, you'll be right in the thick of it: helping deliver standout media planning, keeping our campaigns running smoothly, building relationships that actually matter, and contributing to work that genuinely delights our clients. You'll be inventive, proactive, and curious — the kind of person who spots a better way of doing things and backs themselves to try it.
You'll work closely with your immediate team and Goodstuffers across the agency.
You'll take on the admin (yes, really — someone has to, and a mean to-do list is an underrated skill). And you'll contribute to the kind of collaborative, creative thinking that makes our clients keep coming back.
The requirements
The bread and butter of what we do is media planning & buying, so here’s what we’re looking for:
A genuine interest in media — you want to know how it works, where it's going, and why it matters.
A collaborative mindset – you are able to build impactful & trusting relationships with your fellow Goodstuffers, our clients and media owners.
A head for numbers and a curiosity about data – so not just what it says, but what it means.
Enthusiasm for brands – we want to meet people with enthusiasm for brands and an ability to help build and grow them.
But more than any of that, we want people who think. Who question. Who have opinions and aren't afraid to use them.
We will teach you how to do the day-to-day, so previous experience is unnecessary. Attitude, ability and potential are. We want to see and hear why you want to embark on a career in our industry, what makes you inventive, and most importantly, why Goodstuff?
On AI: we use it. You should, too. But we want people who use AI to think smarter — not as a shortcut to think less. If you can bring genuine critical thinking to your work, AI becomes a tool rather than a crutch. That distinction matters to us a lot.
What we're NOT looking for:
A certain degree. A certain background. A certain kind of CV.
Unedited, copy-pasted answers from ChatGPT. (Seriously — our panel will spot them instantly, and they'll go straight in the bin. Show us you.)
The process
The interview process is in three stages - none of them designed to catch you out.
Stage one – Your Application: We ask you to answer three questions for us in your application, which a panel of Goodstuffers will review. When answering the questions, we want your opinion, your thinking, your voice. So remember to incorporate your thinking into your answers. Write like a human. Think like one too.
Stage two – First Round Interview: If you are making it through, we will invite you for your first interview with a pair of Goodstuffers who work in the departments we are hiring for. It's a 30-minute competency-based conversation, held remotely. We want to know more about you, what draws you to this industry, and most importantly, why Goodstuff.
Stage three – Assessment Day: Finally, we take a smaller group to our London Bankside offices for our assessment day, where our aim is to get to know you through a variety of tasks and interviews (it’s more fun than it sounds, we promise). This is your opportunity to get to know Goodstuff and to ask as many questions as you can – it’s as much about you finding out if Goodstuff is right for you, as it is for us!
Key dates
Our first round of interviews will take place on 10th June, and our assessment day will take place at our offices on either 1st July or 8th July. You need to be available to attend the assessment day in person at our London offices to move forward in the process. Start date: September 2026.
Can't start until later, or keen to start sooner? Apply anyway — just tell us in the 'When can you start working' question in your application.
When thinking about what to wear for interviews, we encourage you to wear whatever you feel most comfortable and confident in. For reference, we'd describe our style as smart casual, with a leaning towards the casual!
Salary: £26,000 per annum, plus a competitive benefits package.

Made of different stuff:
Goodstuffers are a group of individuals made of different stuff. Collectively we shine in support of our mission: to be the World’s most inventive media agency. Our invention is born out of divergent thinking in an inclusive environment which comes together to create something truly original and good. Truly Goodstuff.
To support this, we have an Equal Opportunities Policy; except we call ours the Do the Right Thing Policy. It’s simple. We believe in fairness. That means, first and foremost, we recruit on merit and ability. We treat each other, fairly, with dignity and respect – we give a sh*t. We create an inclusive environment in which everyone belongs. When we recruit, promote, train, or reward we do that on the basis of aptitude and ability. We help and encourage everyone at Goodstuff to realise their full potential. Therefore, if you need us to make any reasonable adjustments at any point during your recruitment process, please fill out the ‘Reasonable Adjustments’ box when you submit your application.
Any form of discrimination or harassment, less favourable treatment, or victimisation based on age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation will not be tolerated.
