The Goodstuff Planning Director blends excellence in planning, analysis and measurement with strong client management and leadership to deliver great work, a happy team and delighted clients. They are responsible for leading client briefs, managing their team, the expertise and resources around them to deliver inventive, effective, measurable solutions. They have a thorough knowledge of performance planning best practice and a good awareness of brand building campaigns, and so provide strong and evidence-led direction for their clients on specific briefs and long term strategic challenges.

The successful candidate will need to be an experienced and well-rounded Planning Director who can provide senior day-to-day client management and help drive the client strategies in tandem with the Business Director. They will also need to support and empower the team, helping motivate and manage their progression paths.

  • Lead the creation of yearlong media strategies
  • Formulate thorough testing strategies that give clients confidence to scale investment in new channels
  • Understand the difference between media campaigns that focus on short-term vs long-term metrics and the associated measurement methodologies
  • Embrace industry best practise and the key theories relating to effectiveness
  • Advanced understanding of all relevant measurement techniques and suppliers
  • Influence clients through strong relationships and compelling communications
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of your clients’ business and brand
  • Drive Goodstuff’s gold-standard client servicing principles
  • Direct effective client meetings, setting the agenda, tone and desired outcome
  • Challenge clients to invest in growth strategies when right
  • Identify clients’ needs or opportunities outside the team skillset and bring in relevant Goodstuffers to address
  • Direct day to day agenda, controlling workflow and deliverables
  • Create clarity around team roles and responsibilities, delegating to ensuring the team are performing the right tasks
  • Responsible for the overall quality and delivery of work of direct reports
  • Create strong relationships with direct reports, providing regular appraisals and development opportunities
  • Support direct reports in efficient management of invoicing processes and quick issue resolution
